Questions for straight up nitro buggy or truggy or any nitro racer

Alright, if you are a racer, how did you get started? I want to buy a nitro truggy chassis and i want to race it after building it up. But i need to have specific kind of brand, engine, and even tires???? Please give me info because i will be ordering a chassis as you read! So please answer questions and give me ideas on how events work

I would go to your local track where you intend to race on an actual race day for the class you intend to compete in. See what the top drivers are running and check their setup. This would be a good way to start. Talk to them and I'm sure they'll be more than glad to help you out.

I will add that you should be sure to consider part availability. If you don't mind stocking up, you can buy your parts on line and hope you don't bang up something unforseen.
