So,

I just got soem P2 Rockers and the AL pushrods for this seasons racing. Do I need to install the spacers on the AL rods? Seems the only reason I would want to is to increase ride height. I've been doing some reading and can't really find a direct answer to this question.

Yes you do, it will sit way too low and you will max out the adjustability of your shock spring spacers.

As VB said, you need to have them or you need to adjust the rod to the length it would be with them installed. It's for the proper progressive rate.

Get rid of those aluminum ones. I snapped mine jumping it 3 feet in the air....WITH a good landing.
Use the steel ones they rock, only prob I had was jumping it 15feet in the air....and landing on one tire....it bent...

I myself prefer Lunsfords, I broke a couple of the red ones. Lunsford has a measuring stick. I'd suggest keeping you original close by for spares and you can use the spacers on those too.

do u guys also prefer the $$$ ti pieces for the toe links. or do those 'tube' jobs work well?

I'm one that actually hates the pushrods but prefer the Tubez. I've not heard too many good things about the Ti toe-links. Many reports that they bend.

Thanks folks. I actually opened the package and read the instructions.
