So, I finished breaking in the car yesterday, got the idle woes ironed out, got the brakes ironed out (the servo just isn't strong enough to deal with the spring on the throttle linkage, so I had to re-set the breaks a little closer till I get a new servo), and got my tuning nailed down pretty much. I have some street tires that I put on it and took it to a nice big open parking so that I could make sure I was hitting the highest RPM possible in the temp range and I could also get a general idea for how it handles now that I am hitting those speeds. It's off to the track VERY soon! I can't wait!
I have another question for you guys...
From a cold start, it seems to take longer than I am used to (on a .15 motor) to get warmed up to be able to hit those high RPM's and get max speed out of it... is this right, or should I be able to nail the tune better (obviously it will need tweaking all of the time anyway, but I mean, is this normal or not)? It just seems like it needs to be every bit of ~250-255 to hit those R's. Should I do something slightly different with the tune?
Also, what are you guys doing to the front bumper? I have read on every review on this thing that it will dig hard on landings... what are you guys doing to re-shape them? Do any of you possibly have a pic of what you have done to it so I can see? If not, can you explain please? Thanx guys!
