If you can find something made for Mugen, they will work. They are slightly longer, but won't cause a problem. I bent the crap out of a hinge pin and when I went up to my LHS, we just sized it up with the closest thing and it doesn't seem to have anywhere where it will interfear. I just bought the stock Mugen ones, but they may make Ti ones, I don't know.

Great thanks!!oh and how about the Front lower suspension mounts part #11100? any betters ones???

I don't have a parts list in front of me... are you talking about the lower A-Arm? If so, then no, I haven't found anything else that will work.

 The part that the hinge pin goes thru both the left and the right side then the E-clip,Its directly behind the bumper, kinda holds the A-arms together.

Those are the lower a-arms. Yes, you have to use the stock Swift parts for those.

Ok,take off the front bumper, now put your finger on the very front of the swift (in front of the diff) that part.Do they make alum replacements?

Ah... I don't know. Would be nice if we could fit up some sort of other part like a Feroni or something. Don't know if there are any others out there that would be better.

Whats the word on the New Outdrives?????Anybody know??? :deadhorse And anyone on here from Fla??

i am, but i trashed it last weekend. very hard hit into my buddys gmc sonoma. bent the chassis, snapped the radio tray, broke a mounting tab off the throttle servo, and bent a cvj bone. and thats what i can see before i tear into it and find more broken parts I'm sure. lesson learned, keep it in a backyard or on the race track, this was an expensive whoops. :write: <-- me writing up my list for the hobby shop.

on a brigher note though. today i went off-road racing for the first time ever. thats right i was a dirt virgin, i just bashed and raced my onroad car until now. so my buddy jeff (psunitro) and i took our stadium trucks to the local track. he placed 7th out of 9 with a broken rear hub that knocked him out of the main early. i finished 2nd, and the guy that beat me, is moving up to expert next week cause his times are up with the top 3 in that class. my times in novice were consistant with the top 5 in expert  so now I'm here taking a break from rebuilding the carb :hammer: on my on-road so that i can go race that tomorrow. i guess as soon as i fix my buggy ill run 2 classes in dirt, cause damnit that was fun. jeff and i decided we will try to go do that once or twice a month now.

beach buggy

I'm GETTIN MINE OUT SOON, on the beach so that should be fun,

actually my lhs that deals swift parts is having that piece made up. i replaced mine with a stock one for now, untill they get the new one in. ill be making a print for these as well though. basically anything i find to be weak, ill see if this guy will make a replacement for. i have a rough sketch of the front shock tower now, i want to make a nice copy to scan and send him. we will see how this first part goes.

well guys this was a bust. i made up a nice print for the guy. now he's telling me he wants a CAD file to make it from. not only do i not have CAD software at home. but for the time it would take me to draw up, i should be getting the part for free. id be doing ALL the work for him. guess my search is still on for a manufacture to make upgraded parts the way i want them

This is a great thread from beginning to end. I have a Swift that I purchased last January and have experienced almost every technical issue that is discussed here. And I've also experienced the phenomenal service from Roger at Power Racing. Try calling Kyosho on the phone and asking a dumb question. (They hang up.)

But from a purely business viewpoint, the only real enemy the company has is the amount of time it is taking to get upgraded parts (like outdrives) into production and out to customers. If you read the whole thread, you get a sense of "customer weariness" over the known issues and how long it has taken to resolve them. I'm not sure if working with the current manufacturers is the best process for a small item like an outdrive. Could it be done somewhere else? I don't know, I'm not in the industry, but when one of my vendors can't deliver, I always have another number to call.

And PLEASE don't get me wrong. I love this car. I spend way too much time running it. ( I recently bought a set of 17 mm Foam street slicks on Ebay and now the Swift is the terror of my street.) Plus, I like the fact that it is not a Mugen or an Ofna or a Kyosho. Its still unique enough to be interesting.

Anyway, just my 2 cents, or maybe its a buck fifty....
