Oh my lord. I believe you run the same motor ans esc right? What gear ratio did you use?

Question for everyone else. I went with the spektrum 4220 receiver, anyone have the same one and put it in a waterproof receicer box? Just wondering which one you used so i know it fits in the box and in the truck.

I've been running a 14T pinion on 4S batteries. If you are only running 3S, you might be able to get away with a bit higher gearing if you wanted. I havent fussed around to see if I could gear it any higher cause I've been happy with the performance.

A temp gauge can help you keep an eye on temperatures if you are unsure how hot is too hot by touching. I don't think it's 100% necessary but something to consider. I try to keep the motor temp under 150 degrees farenheit or so to be safe. I am rarely getting anywhere near 150 on any of my RCs. Usually you'll get a bit of a "hot electronics" smell before you reach that high. Also keep in mind if you run in thick grass, things will heat up more than in open dirt or road.

I don't run the same ESC as you but the size, efficiency and KV of your motor is pretty much what matters most for gearing. As long as the ESC is appropriate for your motor.

Hi

I was wondering if there are any extended body mounts for the Pro MT 4x4?

So i went with a Savox 1210, i read in multiple places that it requires a glitch buster. Is that true?
I'm running the 1210 with no glitch buster, but I'm also using a spektrum receiver and castle mamba X esc. Your electronics setup will determine whether or not you need glitch buster. Try it and see if it glitches. It's an easy add if you require it.

I'm using the 4210 receiver mounted to the left side panel in front of the motor pinion. The receiver is water resistance, not water proof. I've gotten it wet(not submerged) with no issues. I know a lot of guys are using the arrma kraton/outcast receiver box mounted on top of the steering plate. I thinks its overkill, but it gives them a feeling of security.

Hi

Unfortunately you will still have to drill the holes out.

This is my pro mt. I set it up with a Hobbywing quikrun 2200kv 1/8 motor and 150 esc. I geared it with a 19t pinion. I run it on a 4s 5450 maxamps lipo that’s a couple years old. Ran it in my yard a couple times it’s extremely fast and powerful. I need to put 1000000 oil in center diff to help with ballooning as others recommended. I’m using a Savox servo and Spektrum dx3r radio/receiver also. I ordered all the new upgrades available from proline (servo Saver aluminum, steel spur, shocks mounts and shock caps). Can’t wait to install.

Hi

Anything new going on?
Hello I since did all those upgrades. My first run out I stripped the plastic servo horn on the steering servo. Everything else held up fine. Any suggestions on a servo horn? I also installed Team Associated 17mm hex drives the shorter extended ones though so the truck doesn’t look as wide and is a better suiting to me.

Hi

Today I installed a Traxxas radio box , and replased the non-adjustable steering linkage with a adjustable one from my E-Revo.

I should have put a receiver box. Actually... PROLINE SHOULD HAVE PUT A RECEIVER BOX!

Hi

Chassis brase idea. Rough draft made from MDF, the idea is to bolt it to the top of the center diff case with longer screws into the existing screw holes and threw the rear shock tower into the end of the brase with two screws.

Hi

Here is basically the final verson made out of a piece of hardwood flooring. I still have some more tweaking to do to the shape to make it look better and add a finish to it, and get longer screws in the front, but basically it is done. The shock tower will have to be beefed up a little bit on the back side to prevent the screws from being pulled threw the plastic.

Looking for the TA rc8t hex extenders for my PLMT4x4. Sold out everywhere. I have heard that they make another shorter extender that works but can’t seem to locate. Does anyone have the part number they could share? Thanks.

Found them in this thread. Page 11 if any one else is looking for the same info.

Hi

I got a notice from Team Associated a couple of weeks ago saying the longer ones are now discontinued, .
