Ok to start off my breaks suck. I break and it takes a while for me to stop my truck. Another thing now when i break my truck turns off, its really annoying. I have the idle set high either way i break it still turns off. Need help...

First issue. Weak brakes. Check your linkage. Turn the black thumbscrew on the brake linkage in so that it gives more braking force. That's the usual culprit. If that doesn't help, check to make sure the brake arm is indeed moving the caliper. Check the condition of your brake pads and also check the brake disc.

Now, for your stalling. I would check the idle. And make sure when you check it, you're checking it with the brakes fully applied. It's possible that if you're checking it at neutral trigger, your throttle trim is actually holding the carb open rather than the idle stop. You have to make sure the idle stop is what is actually holding the carb open. If it's not that, check for binding in the drivetrain especially with the clutch, clutchbell and spur. If the clutch is spent, the drivetrain will lock up and stall the engine whenever you brake. But I'm more inclined to think it's your idle.

I would guess that your clutch bell bearings are shot. When clutch bell bearings go bad it effects your ride in many ways, and this might be the reason your brakes suck. If you take the engine off of your chassis and spin the cb does it spin freely for 10+ seconds? Try this and let us know how it goes.

How do i adjust my idle? I can do it thru the remote but really doesn't help, cuz as soon as i break closes up 2 much. I need to adjust it on the engine itself i need to open it up a lil more

OK, first, unhook the throttle linkage from the carb. Then use your finger to slide the carb completely closed. If it closes all the way, it needs to be readjusted. Now look for a little screw that comes out of the carb at an angle. Not the tall high-speed needle. But a smaller one.

You'll see the idle screw on that carb coming out the front at an angle. Screw that IN until the carb starts to open and then make sure that the carb stays open about 1mm while you're still holding pressure on the carb arm with your finger.

One other thought as well, since you'll have it somewhat broken down, is to center your throttle servo.

To do that, take the servo horn off the throttle/brake servo. Turn your RX and TX on and adjust your throttle servo trim to zero. Now, put the horn back on so that the throttle linkage is set to hold the throttle closed and up against the idle set screw. I suggest doing this AFTER you've adjusted the idle set screw as outlined previously and AFTER you've determined why your brakes aren't grabbing the way they should.

I typically center my servos every so often, just to make sure everythings in tip-top shape! Also forces me to check the servos themselves and make sure the little mounting ears aren't cracked or anything.

Good luck!

hEY, MAKE SURE THE ENGINE IS WARMED UP. i HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. i LET IT RUN AROUND IN CIRCLES WITH THE GLOW IGNITER IN IT TO WARM IT UP A LITTLE.
