Problem.

So after adjusting my needles and breaking in the engine, there's a problem. It probably could be that I still am breaking it in, I'm not sure. I've done about 5 tanks already. Anyways, I start it, runs fine for a couple of minutes (5-10 minutes maybe?). After it dies, I start it up again but doesn't last for a long time (3-5 minutes). It continues to die after 3-5 minutes. Any help?

Oh, I've found that if I leave it throttling for a while on the ground, it tends to die like that.

Could be too lean. As it warms up, it continually leans out until it gets so lean that it can't run any more. Check your engine temps!

Oh okay. I never checked the temperatures because I don't have a temp gun, but I will be getting one soon.

Temp

For your temp readings a quick test is the spit test. After doing a run bring the vehicle in and quickly place a drop off spit?water on the head. If it rolls into a ball and runs of its to hot richen up the HSN mixture 2hrs(have a look at your watch to determine 2 hrs in regard to a full circle) If it simply boils of over 3-7 seconds your pretty much on the money, if it just steams and lasts longer than 8 secs you need to lean it off. Next job is to run the engine on a quick run then bring it in and pinch the fuel line as close to the carb as possible and clamp it tight, see how long it takes for the engine to stop. If it takes less than 4 secs than your LSN is to lean richen it up 1hr and try the same thing again. If it takes longer than 7 Secs your LSN is to Rich, lean it down 1 hr try again, in between this is perfect.
