That wouldn't be hard to add a toggle to disable transmitting. That would be an awesome thing to have because I often turn the cars on for the kids before we take them outside.

A few years ago I could still clearly see 30+ year old scars on my arm from these tires...

I just looked and they aren't really that visible now. Must have finally shed enough layers for them to fade away lol.

Oh man!! Ouch That couldn't have been fun... those look like they took some skin and DNA with those spikes.... those where some sweet kyosho buggies...

Yeah, they cut some very deep grooves. I was 16 years old at the time it happened. I was holding the car and goosed the throttle, causing the car to try to do a backflip in my hand. One of the most painful injuries I have ever had. But the fact that the car was so mean made me happy lol.

Often times, when I'm crawling, I like to stop to take pictures. This require the use of both hands for steady, non-blurry pics. With both hands on the cell camera, the tx would be dangling and swinging on the lanyard, which often times would be bumping against me or other objects, and activating some of the controls. I always wished there was a built-in lockout switch on tx to cut off the steering wheel and throttle trigger. RC plane tx have a switch that locks out the propeller to prevent it from accidentally coming on.

I am forever hitting the on/off button on my DX5C just from loading it in and out of my truck. I really wish they would redesign this issue.

I've been thinking about this kill switch. While in the clouds it shouldn't be to hard to add a kill switch. And starting looking and so

I'm my case, I would like something that covers the on/off switch and not just use a huge puddle of hotmelt to protect it.
I'm sure I'll be able to fab something.

I haven't had my FS-GT3 apart yet. But just finding the proper wire in the radio that needs to be disconnected to prevent signal from the throttle would be all you really need. There should only be a couple wires on the trigger. You would just splice the switch into the wire. I am no electronics guru, but that would be pretty simple.

@Greywolf74 would probably be able to point out a better way to disable all signal from the radio other than hitting the off switch if you want to disable all channels.

If you kill all the signal from the radio you might as well just turn teh radio off. As for putting a switch on the trigger, Id have to pull my radio apart and look at it. Its been so long since I've had it open I can't recall what it even looks like inside
