Quit all the moaning and griping about forums, threads, posts, banning, mods, admins, rules, etc.

Stick to what this forum is for - discussing R/C's and helping each other out, PERIOD.

If we'd all stick to the original purpose, and do so politely, maturely and with civility - there wouldn't be this persistent problem. Moaning, griping, complaining, whining, ganging up and slandering people - easy to do, it's also counterproductive, repetitive and immature.

It's getting to be sickeningly repetitive, negative and I'm getting rather irritated wasting MY time wading through it to find good content.

So PLEASE - drop it, forgive, forget and let's get back to HELPING each other out! WHATEVER forum you choose - read the rules, follow the rules. Post positive content, be nice...

My big stink is profanity - there's absolutely no need for it, or trying to "get around the filters"...for crying out loud - there are KIDS here. Let's all be mature and set a good example!

But this is regarding R/C issues. Granted, we may be drifting somewhat, but that's why there is the General Chaos Room. I agree, in the Nitro specific rooms, we shouldn't play like this, but it's just so much fun here!

I want this Traxxas bashing to calm down! Its making the site look like crap, unless the Traxxas bashing is real life incidents where you really need to vent, then fine.

Do so in the General Chaos forum, no more of this creating bogus usernames just to bash the hell out of traxxas.

Anyone seen bashing for no REAL reason will be warned, and post deleted.

For those of you that do not know, there has been a new warning system installed, it keeps track of who has been warned, after so many 'warnings' it will ban you automatically for us. This also goes for the cussing and going around the filters.

Consider yourself warned!

We're not telling everyone they can't release their feelings, what I am sayin is its now getting outta hand. All I am asking is to keep it at a minimum. I want you guys to voice your opinions, but not at the cost of the site.

OK, I'm with you on this one. Granted, I'm not the most guiltless person. I have thrown a few (small) stones. But I think it's time to get back to doing what we do best. Giving free, useful hobby advise, and insulting the heck out of our fellow members. Right?? Ok then....

Considering this is a General Chaos forum, it seems to me that barring the illegal we should be free to discuss whatever we want here. I may be wrong but that is the nature of chaos. Now if the chaos leaks into other RC specific portions of the board, then the mods have to do their job and move the offending threads to the appropriate portion of the forum.

As for ceasing and desisting on the whining. I too am a little tired of the whining, but I also enjoy a good bash session. If there is merit to the thread and its content, then it should be left alone. As for wading through the minutiae to find the content, most of the thread titles are fairly descriptive in nature and a decent tell of what to expect inside. I think a little selective reading will cut down dramatically on the search for the content you seek.

If I recall correctly, a large number of the original members to this forum came here to get away from some issues that were making themselves known on the TRAXXAS Boards. The ability and freedom to discuss those issues (or flame them as needed) was one of the draws to this board. If you want this board to remain the cool site it is and remain different from the TRAXXAS Board, then be careful in the limitations you impose.

Thanks for your opinion, but please look over the thread again. We're not stopping you from posting anything, we still want people to be able to speak their mind about anything they want. At the sametime keep some of the same ol' crap to a minimum.

You have to admit, its starting to get old. You can only beat a dead horse for so long before it gets old.

Believe me, I read and re-read the thread prior to posting my reply. I know what your goal is, and that is why I have stopped contributing "to more of the same". I will take my pain and return it to the other board as I see fit and on my own time.

You are correct in the view that things are growing stagnant around the bashing of the other board and its less than spectacular moderators. As for old, well the moment the other board ceases being the way it is will be the moment someone over here has nothing bad to say about them.

As for you Hunter, this bear's skin is a little thicker this week. You'll need a sharper and shorter stick to get me to bite...I'm trying to play nice with the other members of this board to placate the powers that be.

I tryed to resits this thread and posting to it becuase this is the same old lame type thread that Retread posted a month or so back that caused me to take a couple weeks of from this place. Sky nailed it on the head. I mean if people want to dis Traxxas or any thing for that matter let them in the chaos section. Do you not see how many people have come here from the TRX boards wether recruited by members or they came here cause they got banned on the TRX boards.
Also wake up and smell the coffee this site is not just bursting at the seems with..how to questions or R/C related questions for that matter. Shoot I asked a couple questions the other day related to R/C and had to beg for a response then one showed up two days later. This site has a distinct personality at least it did. Look at the people who post here and what most of the content is about. It ain't about helping people with there R/C stuff.. Atleast not overall. Its a forum for people to hangout with a bit of a R/C flavor added to it.
If this is whats gonna happen is that Retread is going to post these tired A$$ threats once a month then It its time for me to move on. Also go ahead and warn me for using A$$ X

Thats one of the problems, members have been creating bogus names and posting all over the site, not just the Chaos forum.

As I said, free speech will always rule here, or at least as much as possible and most of you seem to be over looking that. However all I am saying is its starting to get a lil old. Hell can't you guys find another company to bash?
