hey guys does anyone experience this kind of effect when jumping there slash on big jumps, sometimes it will be flying through the air nicely then all of a sudden it will go completly awol and out of controll , not so much on little jumps more the larger ones ,, is there any way to prevent this as had way too many lid skids and barrel rolls over the weekend for my liking lol thanks .. regards . Ash

Happens to me alot with my Raptor body on my Losi, I drilled 4 3/8" holes evenly across the bottom of the windshield, then cut out the hood scoop and it helps alot but just a tad still remaining.

I think 5-6 3/8" holes along the bottom of your windshield will do fine. I have heard doing them in the rear helps even better bust most reviews on this matter only do the front so the air can pass through the front and push the rear of the body up preventing the chute effect.

oh i see ya thanks will give that a go and try it out tomoz and report back ,

Keep the nose down on jumps. Some of the guys I race with never cut holes in the bodies, they just keep the nose down. Just give it a tad more throttle coming off the jump.

I'm flat out lol

Nope, just the nature of the beast. If you think that the parachute effect is bad on the regular Slash, the Mini Slash is even worse, it wants to get airborn just running on a flat surface with LiPo batteries installed.

My Losi XXX-SCT does that too. Long straights on the track, and speed testing on the street will make it come up and get loose.

Yes, what the Mini Slash tries to do is once it gets up to speed, it wants to lift the left side up and run on 2 wheels before it tries to fly. It usually ends up flipping over at that point with no steering wheel input either.

If you have adjustable body mounts, move the front down or the back up and see how that works.

traxxas rustler and stampede is a bigtime parachute on the road and in the air is worse
it happens more when you install a 11.1v battery

the faster you go the more air get under it its the nature of the beast

I tried that. The biggest problem is that on take off, the Mini Slash wants to squat down in the rear. Even if you adjust the preload on the shocks, it still wants to squat which brings the front end up and so the body. Nope, the only way to control the Mini Slash is to learn it's quirks and how to drive the thing.
