Hey guys sorry if this has been posted already, I did some digging and couldn't find what I was looking for so here it goes. I acquired a 10+ year old s-maxx with a seized engine. I was wondering the best brand/displacement engine that would be a direct bolt in. I'm not new to the r/c world but I've been out of it for a while. So I want to keep it simple till I get the hang of it again. Thank you for any input.

@Grigsby4060, if it was me I'd probably just drop in a new TRX 2.5R in it and call it a day. It's a decent little engine for little money.

I'd go with the trx 3.3. For me, the 2.5R just wasn't ever enough engine to pull around a maxx or revo. For me, even the 3.3 struggled in a revo, never ran one in a maxx.
