I am new to this and have never filled a diff with oil before. The diffs on the X SS come unassembled and I was wanting to use oil instead of grease. How do I seal up the diffs so the oil wont leak out, and how do I go about putting the oil in?

my diffs were preassembled when i got mine. unless your racing u dont need to use oil, grease is fine for bashing.

The diff has a sealed design, there is nothing additional you need to do to seal them up. Before installing the ring gear (the big one with the four holes in it) fill the diffs up with silicon oil up to the cross pins on the spider gears. Rotate the gears around to get out any trapped air underneath. You can start with 5000 weight oil in the front and rear as a baseline to see how you like the handling.

Ill see how it goes......
