RC Driving Style
Is it a direct replacement for my TMAX 2.5 body? Any extra parts needed for conversion? I am looking one at ebay. Can i keep my EZ start system? Please help. Cheers.
 
The picco p2 or works p2 for the maxx is a direct drop in. Uses the stock maxx clutch parts, header, and pipe(you might want to upgrade the pipe for better performance). You can also use the ezstart on those engines. Nice settup, good performance and looks sweet....comes with its own custom motor mount for the maxx.

Sorry, I see you are worried more about the body then the direct drop in. It will work fine with you stock or aftermarket body for the maxx, might neet to cut the hole bigger for the head to fit through it.
 
Ofna Max .21 and Picco P2 .21 are basically the same engine. They both direct drop for 2.5 maxx, and yes you can keep existing ez-start. As mentioned by hundler, you will need to upgrade the pipe for better performance.
 
I've been thinkin about gettin a picco .21, cause many people have good things to say about it. How does the power and reliability compare to the traxxas 2.5? Is it touchy to start? Also, can you bash on it for a reasonable amount of time with out it gettin to hot? Thanks

i bought a picco p2 for my maxx and it did the same thing no matter what i tried......i even took it to a LHS and the tech sweared it was a carb problem he would have to keep it over night well 3 DAYS later still wasen't fixed.....so they had to send it in to picco for warr.......the motor broke in fine to i went throu 5 full tanks and the first time i tried to go WOT the same problem started to happen.........i still haven't gotten the motor back yet it's been almost 3 weeks..........has anyone ever had this problem......well any ways right now i'm back to my supercharged TRX2.5 motor ...........somebody let me know if they know what's going on

oh sorry i forgot to mention that installing the p2 motor is so easy everything bolts right up from your factory motor even the exhaust but i would up grade the pipe
