I have it in my buggy, it is strong enough for buggy racing. You might want a bit more power in a truggy. What are you running now? I have seen and ran a lot of different engines in different truggies/buggies. I can point you in the right direction for what you are after.
 
What's your budget? Do you race or bash? If you race is it a tight technical track or a big track?
 
Go for it, I think you'll be happy. Warning! This engine has a super tight pinch that takes at least 1/2 gallon to relax. You will need a heat gun or hair dryer to get it started or you'll break the pullstart for sure. Be sure to slightly loosen the glow plug before you start it to save the OWB. Once it fires up it idles nicely and runs quite nice thru the break-in process. Mine almost always starts on the first pull. It likes to run about 250F.
Use MC8 glow plugs in it.
