It almost looks like a Smart Tech with some good extras added on....THS pipe, futaba servos and receiver....those alone make it worth while. What kind of engine is that? that a two speed tranny as well? Run it until it breaks then take the goodie parts off and use them else where.

I'm not sure on the engine at all.

2 speed tranny yes.

If i recall he said he just put a new head on the engine, but last i checked you can't really do that with a proper piston sleeve???

I'm probably wrong.

You can replace the cooling head with no problems normally. The type of engine should be on the side of the crank case.

The suspension looks like an original NTC3 but everything else looks like an HPI, probably an RS4, the steering arms are in the exact same spot as the HPI RS4 evo, and so is the radio tray, the engine, pipe, and tank are also in the exact same spot. The tranny looks like its also in the same spot and HPI uses servos that look like Futaba's and they always use THS pipes. If you ask me, its an older model HPI RS4. Probably with the associated shocks conversion. The radio tray is also HPI purple and it looks like there is some HPI fuel tube on the throttle/brake linkage.

that is NOT an RS4. alot of cars have the same layout as the RS4-3.kyosho is one smart tech is another.HPI has never offered a THS pipe with their cars, sure THS offers aftermarket exhaust for the RS4-3,as they do most all nitro vehicles.and futaba radio yes HPI cars come with HPI futaba radios.not actually sayin futaba on their stuff,it says HPI. I believe the car to be a smart tech.

I am with Jones on my original answer of Smart Tech. I wish THS pipes were stock....I got my sister one a long time ago as a first nitro RC just to see if she liked it. Let me guess the battery loads in the side and is a PITA! I know hers was anyway.
