hi guys can anyone tell me how quick my traxxas maxx should start ,it seem to have to wind over for 30 seconds somtimes more before she fires into life

It depends on whether you already have primed the fuel to the carb.

The best way to start it is to plug the exhaust stinger with your finger then attempt to start it. This will quickly move the fuel to the carb. Watch the fuel as it moves through the fuel line. As soon as it reaches the carb, stop. Take your finger off the stinger and attempt to start like normal. It should fire up as long you don't have any other issues like a fouled plug.

thanks that really helped starts as soon as you press button but now after running for five mins it will stall and wont start unless you leave it for a bit then it is ok again, did take carb off and cleaned it lots of muck in there can you get inline fuel filters ??

For starting, apply a little throttle (don't pump the trigger, hold it steady) while trying to start it after priming it.

Sounds like your running too lean.

How old is the engine?
You may have a tired engine if it dies after 5 mins of running and won't start until it cools.

also you could be have your one way bearing getting tired, as per say. you might try a new one just to make sure..
