Hi guys. I'm still new into nitro and was runing my t-maxx 3.3 two days ago and ran fine. Today i took it out and it had on power. So i checked my low speed setting and was to rich. Adjusted it and all better, but after doing a full throttle run and let off and went to do it again, no power. If i stay off the throttle for 3 to 5 sec. runs fine. The only thing i changed was i put a fuel filter on. But it ran ok 2 days ago with the filter on? Any help wound be nice. Thankyou.

I have the TRX 2.5 on my MAXX & I have only touched my LSN once since I got my MAXX new last summer. The Fuel Fitler might be starving your engine of fuel I don't run fuel filters on my rig's IMO fuel filters are more for the GAS running R/C's not Nitro's & if you use Clean/Fresh Nitro everytime you shouldent have an issue unless you get dirt in the trank or carb. I would take off the fuel fitler & reset LSN & HSN to factory break in settings & start tuning from there.

Thanks i try that. Going to be a thew day before i get the time and between the rain. I let you know what happens. Thanks agian.

I dont agree at all, fuel filters are a must on nitro trucks the possibility of getting dirt in the tank is very high after running it mud grass dirt and so on, in my opinion the problem you are having is a fuel leak some place in the tank or fuel line check to make sure your fuel sys is tight and sealed. It sounds like your loosing pressure in fuel

+1 for nikko. Fuel filter is essential to ANY fuel ran engine. sounds like air leak in fuel system somewhere.

I thought taking the fuel filter off was a bad idea but i'm willing to try anything, because i'm still new nitro and need to learn more. I'm going to try to check out for a leak in the next day or two. I'll let you guys know. Thanks for the help.

Endless : I dont think taking off you fuel filter would be a DANGER to your engine I have not installed a fuel filter on both of my RIG's my MAXX & a Rig I just got but can't metion name hear. I think its mainly up to the area where the R/C'er is doing there bashing. But after reading some of the post's I am giving it a 2nd thought of maybe installing a fuel filter on my MAXX.

Both the piston and sleeve are made from soft metal try putting ONE grain of sand in the combustion area of the eng and run it let me know what happens not to mention what it can do to the needle and seat in the carburator or the carb slide if it gets lodged in thr.

Why run an air filter remove that too, all it does is add weight, right....

I see what you saying NIKKO & it makes sence to add a fuel filter & plan on picking up 2 @ the HS on my way home from work. I guss in my thought I never came across a problem yet & thanks for the insight

I never knew anything about a fuel filter.
What are some good ones for a Revo 3.3?

Thanks in advance.

The revo has a fuel filter built into the tank.
If you want to run an additional filter any filter that doesn’t leak is a good one:)
I have had good luck with Dubro filters.

Hi guys. Got my t-maxx 3.3 back out and found out why it had no power. I checked for a air leak (None), checked my FUEL FILTER (ok) nice and clean. So i took it out for a run and it was only runing about 210 to 215 temp. So i lean it and HELLOW POWER. got it up to about 250 to 260 and runs good, but it has a bog on bottom end off the start. Checked my low speed (about 3.5 to 4 sec.) so thats fine. So i my questions is why does my high speed have to be so high and why i'm i bogging off the start? Any help wound be great thankyou.

Your running a bit rich if its bogging, if it dies out its too lean your temps at 250-260 is still a bit low temps at 280 is good lean out the lsn and check your glow plug.

Your right (nikko). I checked my glow plug and the coil on it was sprung out and very white. I changed it but it started to rain so have to run it later. Will runing to rich make the glow plug do that?
