Newbie finds something very interesting!

I'm very new to all things r/c so I've been trying to teach myself as much as I can through too much research and I happened to stumble across something 2 days ago while watching the Discovery Channel, it's a VTOL aircraft that at first glance looks like a helicopter but isn't, if you want to check it out here's the link.....btw there are videos somewhere on the site.

pretty cool reminds me of the heavy lift helis. so i guess the motors can change their angle to provide forward movement

Similar technology to the tilt wing Osprey.
At $1300 I wouldn't even think about it. It's new, it's cool, it's GROSSLY overpriced for what you're getting.

Oh man, I wouldn't buy the $1300 machine, waiting for the mini, or not.

Definitly not intended for the hobby market. Interesting though.
