Whats going on fellas ? I just picked up my first Savage yesterday, I am on my third tank. After break in what should be first as far as mods. Is the Hpi aluminum pipe any good. I am curious to see how it compares to my 4908 T Maxx.

hi, i also run a savage 4.6, just upgraded to a lrp z.28 spec 3, tons of power but the stock mill was pretty awesome too. got my L.H.S to order me a 3 speed tranny today, and i'm running a hpi polished pipe on it, i may change pipes later but for now i am happy with the hpi polished pipe. there's some really smart guys on here so they will be able to give ya some great advice. i also have a t-maxx 3.3, or, it was a 3.3 till last saturday, i think both trucks are great, but I like the savage alot better. lots of torque!!! kdogg

brian:.. I would wait for u to get at least 10-12 tanks through it before u make a pipe change the guy at my hobby store says that the nitro engines r not fully broke in till about 10-15 tanks that is when they apparently really come alive i have about 8 tanks through mine and every tank it seems to get better and better

yeah i agree atleast 10 tanks
but if i was to have my 4.6 over again i would get a metal spur and racing clutch bell first and then get a three speed tranny and id throw that radio controller away and get a 2.4ghz spectrum radio
