will 30% nitro burn hotter? still ok for break ins? and will i have to get a new plug?

You'll want a medium plug and the higher nitro content (if I understood Robin correctly) actually helps the engine run cooler. Someone correct me if I'm wrong there but most guys I know and I believe even on here usually use 25 or 30% nitro

Din't see a throttle return spring in the pic.
Throttle return spring good way to keep from having a run-a-way , the spring pulls your carb shut when you lose power
Truck looks great

Oh the spring is there just hard to See with my crappy lighting haha. I ordered
A Roto start system to when and if my pull start fails.

Hope my LHS sells decent fuel. If no is online worth a try that one that was suggested only sells in bulk as for as I could find

My savage runs about 20 degrees cooler on 30 than it does on 20. I prefer the VP race blend that is 30% with 9% oil but i also use byrons speed blend if I can't get VP.

Don't mined the E-cig stuff
been running VP 20% fuel with no problems

now if i do get 30% nitro and 9 to 13% oil, will i need to shim my cooling head? I've heard of people possibly needing to do that..? and my engine is new only been turned by hand. i just dont wanna frag it.

I've never added shims to any of my engines before and all I run is 30% these days...I break them in on 30% too. I went to 20% for awhile cuz the LHS guy told me it will make the engine run cooler. My experience so far and advice that I have been given by more reputable source would suggest that is actually the opposite of the truth. Not that 20% will hurt anything. VP, Byrons, and Odonnell's are all good fuels from what I know.

I run my savage and my other cars with SIDEWINDER 20% NITRO and 9%oil plus OS #8 plugs and they all runs great.

right now i have R5 plug from HPI only have 1 there 11$ a piece and it is a cold plug if i am not mistaken. the other are 8 and 9$ i think are there other plugs that work with Hpi's K4.6? what is OS is that a brand?

Use the HPI cold plug. I use 30% with 10% oil and don't have to use after run oil not unless it sits for the winter months and my experience with 30 runs cooler bigger tuning window

well my LHS opends at noon everyday so i can't go before work. so tomorrow ill go see what they have and see what i can get!
