The lower skids, as you can see the HD center skids offer more protection.

Looks nice! Where did you find that dynamite chassis brace? I had to go with the GPM brace.

So I blew out my already dying diffs after running the 1/5 scale shoes. What should I use when I build my new diffs, I read somewhere to go with 50k?

How long did take you blow out the diffs, I have the same plan for my FLM savage....not to blow out the diffs, but to use 1/5 scale tires, from the baja.

About 2-2.5 gallons, they were clicking before I ran the 1/5 scale tires but they got really bad after.

When you rebuild your lst diffs use the HD cups from the losi 8ight I have it on my 6s setup, and have yet to have any issues.

Are they different than the HD cups that come in the XXL?

I was under the impression that the XXL came with the same cups the lst2 did. If your cups have metal inserts for the pin to fit into those are the same as the 8ight. If not, they are different.

They're the same then.

Has anyone used Proline Moab 40 series? My LHS has a couple sets new in the bag that have been sitting for a while, he given me deals on things that were taking up space before so I'll have to see what he can do on these. I'm just trying to figure out if they're worth it.

You might want to upgrade throttle servo for reliability and change starter to straight spin start like 427 has. Other than that it is a bad ass truck.

Thanks man, I'm planning on swapping over to HV servos in the future. I actually like the combo starter, it's nice when the roto start battery dies. Now that I know that it's much shorter than the traxxas pull starters I haven't had any issues.

Glad I didn't sell off any of my xxl parts or truck Still has the same chassie. can't wait to get it.

Mounted up my bumpers, now I'm just waiting on some shims for my diffs and then I can get it started. I'm going to be running 20000 in the rear and 15000 in the front with TiNi ring and pinion and some IRC cups, I'll have to get some pics of the IRC diff cups.

Nice wheelie bar! Yes, please get some photos of the IRC cups. Been looking at a set for myself.

Finished up my diffs today, I had to make do with what shims I could find. I was trying to get it together before a big bash tomorrow and my order didn't get to me in time. Still can't make the bash, but that's a whole other story. Anyway, I decided to go with 20K in the rear and 15K in the front. Here are some pics.

New bevel gears, along with a TiNi ring and pinion set to get mounted to the IRC aluminum diff cup.

This thing seems to be really nice, feels very solid and strong.

The notches are very clean cut, I did notice some shaving in the bag with mine. Nothing a little pre-build cleaning didn't fix.
