New 3.3 motor and pull start conversion, Help!

Okay i got a new 3.3 traxxas motor for my revo. i found the pull start assembly but i need the the peice that connects the pull start to the crankshaft. Where can i find that? I looked on amain, maybe i missed it?

ummm, usually comes as a kit.... unless your talking about the one way bearing and the shaft that it goes on?

One way bearings are sold separately.

Yeah i need the pull rope and the bearing and shaft and i guess the backplate

So when u got your motor it didn't even come with the backplate? I'll find those part numbers this avo for you unless someone else gets em for u

It would be best to check the crancshaft to make sure it has the pin for the starter shaft also.

it doest have a pin, its just flat with the connecting rod, idk what kind of starter i put on it

You may need to buy a new crank. It should have a pin that the rod connects to and then it should poke out a bit more. I'll jump on the Pc soon and get some pics and stuff up. I'll try find all your part numbers you'll need too

The crank that you said do not buy, is the one it has. Which why would that be in if you can start it???

The crank without the pin for the starter shaft is for a bump start engine. It uses a solid backplate and the engine is started by turning the flywheel with the starter box.

If you want to use a pull start/ez start or roto start you will need the crank with the pin the starter shaft and the new backplate.

That means u have to carry a big box nearly the size of the car itself. It may be cheaper going pull start still... The bump start requires a battery similar to the ez start and yeh it that's flat ur day is over

Bump boxes are mostly used by racers only. Whos engines usually stay running the entire race without worry of stalling and having to carry the box far to restart the rigs.
