i just traded 3 xbox 360 games for a 2.5 tmaxx, the guy told me straight up that it needed a little work, he said that the front diff wasn't working, but once i got it home i realized he was mistaken, the truck wouldn't turn at all, not the diff! i started by replacing the batteries, then i tried, still no luck, i unhooked the gear from the servo and then tried it and the servo works just fine, i put that back together and unhooked the bars that turn the wheels, they turned just fine, so i tried to turn the wheels while they were unhooked, both sides are really tight and take a little effort to make them turn, what do i need to do.

Look thru the spokes in the wheels and you will see two 5mm hex screws, try loosening those off slightly until you get your steering back.

thanks, they are screwed all the way in, i had to take the wheel off of one side, i couldn't get the wrench to turn, noticed they had scraped some metal of inside the hole and now the wrench won't go in, i'll have to go buy some new caps, but what do you suggest i do to get the stripped one out

So the screw is rounded out, or there are burrs inside the hole stopping the wrench going in?

If it was me, I would just drill it out. If the axle carrier gets wrecked, get some of these:

actually both, the top of the cap is rounded out, and just inside the hole is like a little metal ledge on one side, the others don't look like that

Force a screw driver into the ball cap and turn it out, then replace the ball caps.
