hi,
i am looking forward to buy a buggy. budget is about $1000. wanting to use it for race purpose only. need a help in deciding which pro kit to purchase as well as the engine. Servos etc.
thanks in advance for the suggestions.

X-Ray buggy, any Novarossi, Werks or Picco .21 with matching exhaust. You don't have to have the most expensive engine to be fast with a buggy. The Futaba 3pm MX radio with a couple of ACE servos.

Or
The new Losi 8 2.0 RTR buggy that comes with everything you need. It would be a very good choice, it even comes with a starter box. You can't beat it for the price. Check E-Bay for the best deals.
You can pull it out of the box and have money left over to buy a few sets of tires. Buggy tires don't last long under race conditions.
Proline still makes the best buggy tires/wheels.

Scrogg... what do you think of the HOngNor X2CR pro or the X1CR pro buggy?

If you go with the Jammin series get the X2, it handles much better and has a lighter drivetrain. I own a Jammin truggy and love it but the X1 series is outdated for racing.
I still say get the Losi 2.0. I finally got to drive one. They are sweet. The easiest smoothest buggy I have ever driven. Better than the Spec 09 X-Ray.
