my smartech buggy

just bought a buggy by smartech the winner 1/10 scale 15cxp engine. i hear that alot of people have problems finding parts for the car, well it can be a bit of a pain in the bum but i founds a few places on the net . have to get them shipped from america . but can be a pain sometimes . but anyway less of that babble. a few questions here
1, what temp should i be running my car at (I have a temp gun)
2. i have a 75 cc fuel tank lasts me about 5 mins lol why i dont know. I'm using duraglo 16%
3.when using the car there is loads of oil leaks on the chassie seems to be coming from the engine somewere think it may be coming from the manifold ( i think) not sure .
i understand the how to tune the top end but the bottom kills me not sure what to look for. but otherwise it runns ok very fast

If you run rich, you will find that fuel/oil will leak from every possible orfice.

Tha would not only exp-lain the oil, but the fuel longevity.

Operating temp really depepnds. You definetaly want it over 200 degrees.

240-260f seems to be in general what.15 engines like to run at. Some like the trx .15 pro won;'t run well unless they are right under 300.

Others only run well at near 240-245.

Tune for performance, then use your temp gun as a failsafe/check.

Makke it run smooth, then bash for a bit and checlk your temp make sure you're within the limits.

The low speed needle is a tricky sucker. Only make 1/16th changes at a time, and run that settings for a few minutes so the engine/can can clear out. All adjust ments to the LSN are not immediatewly apparent they takee time to show up..

with the low speed needle, it takes affect while you are accelerating, its too rich if it bogs down from a stop to WOT and its too lean if it stalls out when you go WOT from a stop. and as lykan said make sure you do a few passes to clear the engine out.

Parts can be found at www.excelhobby.com Pay close attention to the part numbers and descriptions, they can be a little off. I have a post on here where I describe swaping the Smartech 15CXP engine for an AE 15. Your engine has to be a CXP and have that stamped on the engine case. will be taking it out sometime this week, i got it running about 200f so do you think its the low end that need tunings as i think the high end is ok . or maybe get it about 240f then mess with the low end, if i leave it to idel for a few minutes it sounds ok if i lift it off the ground the wheels dont spin , so i guess thats one good thing. (These begginers lol what a pain)i get smoke from the pipe witch is good. i dont wont is too lean do i.
not sure what else i should be looking for while tuning
