:flamer: I'm glad your savage .25 is working now it is a great truck :jet:

Lets not get too carried away, I have yet to keep it running, though tomorrow is another day.

I did it twice. On the same truck. On the same night. trying to fix the same problem.
LMAO! I've done the same thing but it was something different, I tried to fix it three times before it finnally worked. Good luck geardigger, stick with it.

OK, here is an update for those still wondering and I'm sure you are...

I got some time to spend with it today and it wasn't pretty. I tried for about 5 minutes to get it started and found out the brand new glow plug I replaced on Tuesday is dead. Put another plug in and it fired up after about a minute of trying. Still idled way high and I was able to keep it running long enough to play with the pins a little bit. I have this thing running super rich right now, its the only way I can keep it running.

I did get it to a point where the idle was rather low and stable (to me anyways) and then I trying playing with the throttle a little bit and when I pull the trigger about 1/2 way in it died instantly. I figure because I am running way rich.

One thing I did note when it died is the fuel in the line going to the carb instantly shot back into the fuel tank. This leads me to believe I have an air leak somewhere. I have the uni-flow mod on this and it shouldnt have done that. So against my better judgement I am going to replace the fuel line for the 4th damn time. What is the absolute best fuel line and size I need for this thing? And why did the fuel shoot right back into the tank? Leak somewhere??

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help

prather medium fuel line, or dubro blue NOT DUBRO YELLOW(they had a bad batch and its fouling glow plugs) when you run your fuel line and pressure line, make sure to keep it away from moving parts and hot parts.

it sounds to me, as if your LSN is too lean, and your HSN is too rich to make up for it. back the HSN off to the factory settings and then turn it in 1/2 a turn. turn your LSN until its flush with the outer edge of the horn on the slide. this should get you started. take off your filter and look down inside the carb. when you hit the brakes and in neutral, there should be a 1mm open gap in the carb, if it closes when you hit the brakes adjust the idle speed needle until its right. while you have the carb off, make sure that when you hit full throttle the servo is only opening the carb the whole way, and no extra, this can cause the carb to stick WOT, if its pulling more, adjust your endpoints on the radio. put the filter back on. once the truck is running and hopefully up to temp. pinch the fuel line just before the carb. it should take 4-5 seconds for the engine to rev up slightly and stall. if it takes longer lean it out until you get in that 4-5 second range. if it just dies, richen it up until your in that range. now you can slowly pull the throttle until your at WOT, if you just grab the trigger the engine will stall. you want to adjust the HSN until you have good power, smoke, and the engine sounds like its clearing out. turn it in 1/8 turn at a time to achieve this.

Well when you work from 8:00pm to 8:00am the next morning 4 days a week sleep becomes a mandatory thing.... :hammer:

charge the roto?? cmon man your killing me!!! lol i charge my stuff while I'm at work or sleeping.. lol

Well, I did everything you said to a tee and after about a minute of trying to start it the gears in the roto-start stripped out from the engine hydro-locking. I even put new fuel line on it too.

For sale: One savage 25, barely used. Misc. parts and accessories come with it. 325.00 + shipping

My first RC yes. The gears inside the roto start tool itself, not on the savage.

Edit: BTW the medium fuel line is a bit big around the HSN intake nozzle. I now need a fuel line clip the keep it tight and to keep it on.
