I just got a revo not even a gallon old and the motor on the ez start wont turn the battery is fully charged and the the glow plug is fresh. the wires are all hooked up and I've tried everything i can think of please help me out any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
 
You could have chipped a gear tooth that's causing it to lock up. You might also have a piece of gravel inside the motor.
Does it get hot when you try to start it?
 
I havent even ran my revo yet and my ez start doesn't work. Already ordered my pull start :shrug:
 
I do know there are some problems with the EZ start systems. Have your LHS replace it for you.
My LHS keeps one in stock so if someone has a problem she'll swap it out, no questions asked.
 
Two words

Pull start

You may have something stuck in there...
 
Did you check the controller? The pins are all good? Does the motor turn freely?
 
the motor wont turn at all i checked the controller and the pins are set correctly it doesn't get hot when i turn it on my friend said there might be a short in the ez start but i dont know if he is right or not

i am gonna order a pull start though
 
Take off the EZ Start and slap on a Pull start. Never heard of an EZ Start dying.

Agreed. Just picked mine up from bruckner. Its less headache and only cost $18.

wow 18 bucks? I got mine for 12 at the LHS. must have been a sale

bruckner prices are pretty much like Tower's. I'd say you got a sweet deal.
 
Is is that the EZ Start motor won't turn or that the EZ Start won't turn the engine over? If the latter, the engine may be hydro-locked. Remove the glow plug and try starting the engine upside down to remove the fuel from the engine.
 
Check the connectors at the eazy start inside the dust boots. My posi lead was broken and the only way I found it was when I slid the boot all the way back. Now I get to take the whole thing off and throw it in the trash!! My RD starter box is shipping!!!
 
He lives down the street from me and because he is new i will finish up the thread.

We found out when we took it out that there were multiple cuts in the wires causing it to short. Also there was something stuck in the motor. On top of that the pin had sherred off the esay start motor. We slapped on a pull start and problem solved.
