I was sealing my MGT 8.0 and somehow I got the carb stuck by putting it in backwards and I managed to rough up the carb neck and the intake housing a bit but nothing major. All in all a great experience and got me wondering: what has the community had for moments so to speak? Oh let the fun begin. LOL

My oh #%!? Moment came after a tear down. I took every thing out including the differentials. I'm new so I mark every thing with tape. My diffs I marked front and rear. Not realizing the piece that holds them in place moves I set them down and for got about them till it was time to rebuild. While rebuilding I picked up one of the diffs ant the piece that holds them in place moved. So I spun it and put the truck together. Next day I go for a run in my back yard. I stood behind the truck to start it and then I hit the throttle. The truck went in reverse right into my leg!

Well this confused the $&@? out of me so I posted a thread. With in minutes I had a response telling me I must of flipped one of the diffs. So I tore it down again but I should have took Time to understand what he meant. I thought i switched the front and rear,so I switched them. I rebuilt and took it out to play. And again I drove right in to my leg! So I reread the thread and spent twenty minutes with trial and error to see which diff was upside down. Once I got it I carved an arrow in each of them so this won't happen again. No damage but this situation made me say alot more than oh ?$&.

After first rebuilding my Acme Condor I took if for a test run in an alley way next ro my house. Pulled the pullstart and off it went WOT straight into a metal fence. Only broke a suspension arm. But now I use fail safe plus a spring on the throttle servo.

I also just installed my rear diff in backwards in my merv. That's sucks but my lipos aren't here yet so not to big of deal.

I was actually quite surprised when I put it in but it took some effort to say the least to pull out. I then just gently sanded the carb and it went back in. I shouldn't have any problems but we'll see. I think having these moments are just part of the hobby that makes you want to bash your head into a wall.

Rolex those days past you. Oh wait there's always viagara.

I had two lately. Put a diff in my tmaxx in backwards, I was quite puzzled for a few seconds. The other was I accidentally drove into a drainage pipe. We had to buy a ten foot piece of pvc pipe and make a little hook to grab and pull it out. At least I have pipe to make a roto maxx stand.
