RC Driving Style
As I came home last sunday I had a early Bday gift from my girl.. It was a SS 4.6.. So I started building it, but before I started I took all the purple parts to have stripped and ploished out. Right now I am in roller state with stock length LCGs but I may switch to a .5" ext/LCG set up. But this is what I got for now..

Have to thank BIG Dave down at Hobby town USA for the hook up..!

Parts ready for install include
- stock length LCGs (or maybe the .5" ext/LCGs)
- buggy shock towers with 4 ofna 9.5 rear threaded shocks
- Vertigo performance engine plate
- VP tank gaurd
- Lunsford Ti links kit and Ti hing pins
- and the light wieght aluminum rims that Big Dave sent with the truck.. Thanks again..!

Stock SS rims vs. the light wieght Al ones with .5" offset..

i dont like the purple either...its ok i guess...but u can defantly tell HPI likes it. like every one of their products have at least a little purple. r u gonna see which engine is faster between the SH 28 and the k 4.6 u got w/ ur new savage... or r u gonna put ur sh in your new savage 4.6 ss? r those dirt bonz tires pritty sweet? I'm thinkin about getting some.

I plan on using the 4.6.. I hear it is a great motor that hauls a$$.. Its gonna get some internal porting and polishing so I may not know how it is stock..

The tires seem really nice.. I like how they have a shape to them compared to the bowties. Teh bowties have more of a rounded tread pattern, anb the dirtbones are noce and flat.. I have both so I can swap and see how (if any) much difference there is...
 
I've seen this truck in person and it looks awesome. Those LST shocks look sweet in silver. Looking forward to seeing it go!

Markallen is modding your .28? Lucky dog, you are going to have a beast! Are you going to race this one at the Morgan Hill Track?
 
Yea I am not to good of a driver but I think it would be fun..

I truely have more fun jumping and trying flips and stuff. But this I have a truck built for jumping so I wanted a racer so I might as well give it a shot...

Hey Dog.. I designed these towers myself for these shocks.. I then had the plastic shop here in town machine them for me...
 
Dude thats one nice looking savage, and one hell of a Bday present. I think the purple is ok, but I like the looks of your truck much better without the purple. Man those rims are kickass!
 
nice set up skip. towers are holding up fine on my end...had acouple of tumbles without a lid and no damage...2 thumbs up for the towers.
