:\I'm having a problem with my glow plugs lasting maybe 10 to 15 starts then goin bad, is this normal. at 8 bucks a peice i hope not. does anyone have some advise on something i am doin wrong, or have tuned wrong

sry i dont have any suggestions. that is very interesting to me tho. i have used maybe 4 glowplugs in 2 yrs.if any body knows why i dont use hardly any i would love to know because it sounds like a lot of people go through a lot of plugs. i feel left out lol. my only idea would be to rich maybe? but dont go by me i'm still learning.lol

:Dwell this last time it went bad so fast i think is because i slammed a fence pretty hard, i didnt damage anything but i ran out of gas soon after then filled back up then i wasn't getting anything from my glowplug, the whole fence thing was my bad anyway, i need to live by the whole dont drink and drive, but it was still fun

Are you still using the ez-start?

yea i still use the ez start, love that thing, saves money on bandades for the fingers

Yeah, totally. I won't forget my first pull start experience. I was a lefty for a week or so after that. :whhooo:
I was just wondering if the EZstart might have something to do with it. I haven't been using that many plugs lately it seems since I went to roto+glow ignitor. But I don't know if it is just getting a little better feel for tuning.

blckrevo do you still have the EZ start on yours?

I've got a silimlar problem, just I wish mine would last that long.

I completed the traxxas reccomended break-in and ran about 2 quarts of fuel through it. Was running it in my yard one day, flipped it and stalled, after that it's killed a glow-plug everytime it stalls or runs out of fuel.

I've been through 6 2-3 tanks. Checked the mixture, checked for debris in the head, and tried using a glow stick. It's still eating plugs like candy. I'm worried the connecting rod may have stretched and the piston is slapping the head. my next stop is traxxas phone support.

sry i was away for a while, yes lbsingtx i still use the ez start, i found my container with my old glowplugs and counting the one thats in the rig i have used 5 glow plugs in 2 yrs wierd i guess or i am just lucky.lol

I kept killing plugs in my Buggy and Revo when I was running them too rich. How is your tune?

Plugs also "Go bad" if an engine is tuned too lean.

If the coil is "silver" but seems compressed into the housing of the plug, it may be that the engine tuned overly lean. (i talk from experience)

Just my :2cents: worth
