well i have ordered a new t maxx. it will be my first nitro rc truck. while I'm "patiently" waiting for ups to come ring my doorbell i have been doing alot of research on here using the SEARCH feature. i have decided that i want to get a hump pack for my truck just simply because i dont want to have to buy batteries for it. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good setup that will give me the most bang for my buck. most of the links i found in other threads were no longer active. i know i need the pack, the harness and the charger just looking for some brand/model specific suggestion. thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to being a part of this online community :)

in case it matters i ordered the 2.5 model t maxx

Basicly any 6 volt battery pack will work. I ordered mine through tower hobbies and have run 3 or 4 tanks through on it without recharging. You will need a charger for your ez start battery also so get one that has the option of charging futaba J connections and your all set. I myself plan to adapt the traxxas transmitter to run off a 9v hump pack just to save the battery issue also.

Welcome to rcnt ,..tenergy makes some good well priced packs, but more importantly imo is a.good charger $40 ish is what you will spend for a decent peak charger which will also charge anything else that you have,...good luck with the engine break in process, take your time and heat cycle it properly, and keep an xtra glow plug on hand,......

+1 on the tenergy i put one of those packs on my firestorm and its been a good one so far had it about 4 months be careful with the heat cycle if you have no tuning experience. When i buy glow plugs i buy 3 at a time and when i get down to my last one i buy 3 more and store them on my 4 way. Also you may love the whole glow plug wire thing but my self I'm not a fan i still use easy start but i use i glow ignitor seems like its always started my max and revo easier that way

+1 on the glow plug igniter, I always run a flat pack with a factory style traxxas plug in so I can use my revo charger on my maxx or my revo.
