i must have missed when you posted maxximillion, anyways yeah i know about the voltage on the motor so I've regulated the voltage, current, and aps going to the motor so i dont have any thing to worry about and the frequency well i have plenty of crystals for that and usually once i get the truck started it stays on.

Not to doubt you , but how did you regulate?
I find it a little hard to believe, especialy when the standard 9v battery only pushes 50ma, I know this because my initial design was to use a 9v. When I hooked it up It wouldn't even turn the motor over once under load. So, like said, I am not doubting you, but I couldn't make it work. AND I TRIED, I even tried a complex milliamp multiplexer to boost output. If you can tell me how you regulated the voltage down, and it is simple, if you can build your own transmission device then this question should be simple.
 Also I would REALLY like to see a video of it actualy working with the 9v.

Well i have taken my remote starter in for reviewing so for now i can not reveal any thing to do with my idea. Sorry. It will be in testing for a week i was told. I'm in the process of patenting my idea so that i can go into sales, so until then i am not allowed to reveal any thing. Besides i don’t have what i need to put up a video.

if you plan on doing the same with your idea i would watch what i say about it.
with mine if all in all goes well it will go into production with in a few months.

good luck ;)

Well al I wanted to hear is that you used a 1.8v resistor, thats all, anyone with any kind of electronic knowledge would know that easily, and would also regognize that it isn't a secret. Seriosly, you didn't power the starter motor with a 9v battery. I tried to relay that I know this for a fact with out just calling you a liar. But you left me no choice, I KNOW FOR A FACT you can't use a 9v battery. As far as a patend, it is allready pending.

Any othe power source, you might of had a chance. I am an EXPERT i know what I am talking about. I am asking you nicely not to post anymore misleading stories in my thread

Well weather you believe me or not it doesn’t matter. And my starter is powered by a nine volt and I know this for a fact because I did it so if you didn’t do it well then I guess you’re not really an expert. Another reason I know this is because I am not only an administrative assistant of a satellite communication agency but because I am also an electronics professor Arizona state university. So I know exactly how it is done and that it is possible. So if you couldn’t do it well then I you are lacking the expertise to get it done and done right, “expert”.

oh and by the way resisters are measured in ohms not volts anyone with any kind of electronic knowledge would know that easily

LOL! right, you can step down and resist Volts , Ohm's and Amp's.
Now, next time you do a search to cover your rear keep reading.
It's stepping up thats a little more difficult, with that said, I'm sure this will be you last post on this thread.

LOL! A professor at the age of 25! LOL When, in you spare time. You got me beat, I only work at a marine navigation electronics company, I'm only the purchasing mngr, I also only design all the systems, in my spare time. Oh yeah I proved I built what you only preach about. Ok I am done.:o

I build multi million dollar servers, networks and banking systems.

But I can't build a remote starter :(

Yes stepping up is more difficult but it can be done and I have done it. Nobody said anything about preaching, I teach and I build I do not preach. No research is needed to know that resistance is measured in ohms.

And yes a professor at the age of 25 you’d be amazed at what I have accomplished at my age. I’m sure you would laugh as well if I where to show you my diploma I got from the private high school I attended and graduated at the age of 14 or the numerous degrees I received while at brown university. You be surprised at what I do and build with my spare time.

At my 25 years of age I have accomplished things only people like you would only dream about. You challenging my knowledge, now that’s a laugh. With this said I leave you be, you and your so called expertise.

Just found out about this remote start system and someone on ebay is selling some kind of instructions how to build it. I currently do not own a nitro truck any more as I sold sometime earlier last year when funds became kind of short and have been since, but I have managed to try to keep up with my hobby as much as possible. To get to the point I'm interested in how to build this unit if there is any way to e-mail me telling me how? A schematic perhaps? Also do you think that it's possible that this will work other rc nitro trucks/cars?

The instructions on ebay are, are how to butcher the easy start and use the standard battery pack. My starter is completely designed from non OEM parts and powerd buy a custom power cell. Sorry I can't send you the schematic, I plan on selling them ...someday LOL.

UPDATE: The first production line prototype starter was sent out Thursday, to Fast Eddy. He is going to put it through it's paces and collect data for me. It has taken longer than expected because I have had so much going on. Also, I don't want to sell something that doesn't do what it's supposed to.

Thanx...

I kinda of figured that becaause a lot of the one's i've read on ebay say just a couple of bucks or a couple of parts from the good ol' shack. I understand one mans idea is treasure. When I had first switched over from electronic to gas I'd thought about the remote start thing, but never found the time as you and some people have to sit down and actually make my thought come to life. Mainly due to work and college, but as of now I'll be keeping an eye out for it till it reaches the market or just pick another nitro truck and try to design one on my own.

numerous degrees I received while at brown university.

I had some extra time on my hands this morning and did a cross reference search of the entire ASU Faculty of male Professors and Associate Professors of the last 8 years against the student roster form Brown University graduates for the last 8 years. I found 1 match and unless you are an Asian female....

Lucy! You have some splanin to do.......

Ed, you did the same thing I did, I found the pics of the professors and all! ASU has a great website. But sorry, couldn't find anyone that matched his description;) I think the youngest professor was in his late thirties.

I never caught it the first time.

M@xx that is soooooo cool!! I can't wait to be one of the first guys to purchase one of those starters from you!!!!! Keep up the good work!! YOU ROCK!!
