I'll run a staight edge under it and we will know for sure. If what you are saying is correct then, it's happening on the pan and not the top. Before it's over with I'll probably own both of them.
 
Looks like the the 12/49 was toasting clutches and overheating engines from what others are telling me. The chassis does not appear to be tweaked on top or bottom per my inspection.
 
I run HCR stuff on my T-Maxx. I am familiar with the kick-up that he speaks of, but noticed no such issue with the Mutant Maxxes at my LHS. They seemed to fit together without much problem. Heck, I almost bought one of the owner's RTR, but it was a little too pricey for me at the time.
