Will this clutch kit work for the Hyper 8 Port Engines?
Link If so, are there a lot of modifications to get it to work?

I read somewhere that the clutchbell on the savage is a standard size and that any standard 1/8 scale buggy clutch will work.

I dont own a savage so some of you savage guys let me know if I'm wrong or not.

here is where I read that

To use that kit pictured above (Mugen C0710), it is also recommened you get these parts as well:

· Mugen C0704 - order link

· Ofna 10401 - order link

· Ofna 10099 - order link

I am not running the 3shoe setup yet, I'm going to get the Hot Bodies another try. After that I'll be going to the 3shoe setup also.

HPI also recommends using the Kyosho MP7.5 clutch shoes on the savage as well, though not 3-shoe.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to give it a try. It seems like the HD shoes from Hot Boddies start to lose their grip once you've burned them in really good.

WoodiE, do you know if those three items are necessary to run the mugen clutch or just rcomended, and if necessary why?

I run the mugen kit above and I think its a great setup. The kit is on a Picco 26 turning Imex Jumbo Swamp Dawgs. Hooks up hardcore:hehe:
