i wont to up grade from .15 to a big block or 3.3 wut are my opshoins and ken i beat the price of the 3.3.

to let u know i have 2.5 trans ans difs and a lowered and on board temp

So, you still have the old pro .15? Heck, almost anything will have more power than those, now. If you want some power, yes, the 3.3 will give you a lot more, but, also remember that you will need to upgrade drive train parts. And, you will also need a conversion kit, since the older engine is rotary carb, and the 3.3 is slide carb.

BTW, please try to check your spelling and grammar.

Poor man's .21

You've probably seen this conversion already but in case you have not here you go.

You can convert a stock chassis .15 to a .21 with a little dremel work. See my pics below. The engine cost me $89.00 bucks, engine mounts were $15.00, Header came with motor, Paris pipe was $30.00. The rest was time and a few dates with a dremel.

The only draw back is that the stock tranny on occasion will throw up on itself :spit: and you will go through a diff once in a while.

Overall it's sick fast, wheelies on command, and trips everyone out when they realize its a stock chassis TMAXX.:whhooo:

sicpwr, do you have pics of exactly what needs to be dremeled and what mount to stuff a big block on the stock chassis...I have a .21 and my sons stock sportmaxx begging to get together.

With a few good pics and a little write up this would be perfect for the how to section.

I could definately take some pics and explain the how to. It might take me about a week but I can definately do.

I think I still have an extra chassis around that I could shoot pics and I forgot the engine mount part number however a quick stop by my LHS and problem solved. I do recall that the engine mount is from ofna. I tried various kinds and this one worked the best and was cheapest.

The engine is a OFNA Hyper turbo. I picked up here in OC at Ultimate Hobbies (714) 538-3111. It comes with a header already. For the price you cannot go wrong. You could run any .21 but anything with horsepower over 1.75 will give you serious tranny probs. My set up includes a Robinson Racing slipper clutch, FOC and stock gearing. Depending on how tight you run the slipper will determine how many times you will destroy the tranny. Right now I run stock Traxxas driveshafts. In the near future I am going to convert to an MIP center CVD. I just need to measure and see which will fit. When you convert the chassis the tranny is moved up therefore the stock driveshaft is lenthened for the rear and shortened up front. When my bro and I did these conversions was back in the day when Hardcore came out with their $200.00 .21 conversion. Now you can get the conversions for way less. I still like the truck because it is different and it runs well in the current setup.

Whoa there cowboy...please use real words, complete sentences, and a little punctuation. Your posts are rather difficult to understand when you talk in I'm slang, and are missing letters and complete words. Since this is not a chat room please take a minute to read what you wrote prior to hitting the submit button. Thanks.
