shouldnt there be a slipper clutch plate on each side of the spur gear. and maybe check your idle settings on the carb and on the radio.

Theres a thin plate to the left of the spur and just a washer then nut this side . Settings are fine could it be my clutch not letting go when release throttle ?

I guess thats possible if the spring has come loose from the clutch shoes. you could take off the cb and check.

it still sounds to me that if it is still reving after you release the throttle, that the carb is being held open by the idle setting being to high. I know you said that it was fine, but that is the first thing that comes to mind. i know i would be trying to look there right now.

could the carb be leaned out to much, try to richen alittle...sorry, just trying to through out ideas for you.

the slipper doesn't have anything to do with what you are describing. It is only used as a pressure release. if the drive train is under a bind the plastic gear will slip against the cork plates and release the bind before something more expensive breaks.

the problem you are describing sounds like a clutch issue. if it idles fine when the truck stops the idle setting should be fine.

now your tune could be over lean and causing a lean-rev issue. If you have good smoke and the temp is good, then that shouldnt be the issue.
