Maxx tires 3.8 wheels

Has anyone mounted maxx size tires on 3.8 wheels? I'm thinking about mounting some Bowties on traxxas Hurricane wheels, I have seen it done but wanted to know if anybody here has done it.

The ones I have read about the tires were cut so they would fit inside the bead channel, I was thinking about trimming the top lip on the bead channel and just stretching the tires...Any other tips/advise?

I just ordered some wheels, hopefully I don't ruin a good set of wheels and tires.

I had to cut some sidewall off of the tire but I got a couple of them mounted, no more sidewall bulge.

Thats pretty sweet man. Responces suck on my track. I guess when they take a crap Ill give this a try. I have 40 series in bowtie and they hook up great. Did you have to trim them at all?

Yes, I had to trim the sidewall quite a bit. I still have two left to mount, I'll try to get a pic of the tire after I trim it.
