whats everyones opinion on a good race vehicle here. I'm looking at the Muggy,or the 8ight-truggy or the 8ight buggy!!!! would you all recommend this for some racing action?

I think the big determining factor is going to be what class is the most popular at your local track. You don't want to buy a truggy and then only have one other person their with a truggy, and the track officals tell you that you don't have enough entries to race. Have you gone to the track yet to see what classes they are and how many are running in each class? I think it would be a lot more fun to race every week if there's a12 people in your class than if the same 3 or 4 race together every week.

yeah this is true. good point. i know that truggys and buggys seem to be the popular vehicles

You want to make sure that if they only run 10th scale racing, you don't want to spend a bunch of money on an 8th scale buggy, or the other way around, wouldn't want to buy nitro if they only run electric, etc... If nothing else, call the LHS and ask them what the guys are running at the track.
