I'm lookin at a monster truck. So far i like the Monster GT. Tell me any advantages of it and how it would hold up on the track against the competition. Thanks

well it is so easy to clean and fix because of the open space. but if u were looking to race it u might want to put it on a diet a help it loose some wait. but other than that i love it! also check this forum to get lots of help with this truck MGT Forum

The I have owned 2 tmaxxes, and I now own a Savage and MGT.

The MGT is my favorite by far. The Savage is fun because I beat the crap out of it, but the MGT spanks in when we are running around racing/chasing each other.
It jumps smoother, powerslides easily, and handles like a dream.

Right now my setup is :

Mach .26 engine
Red/Copper combo spring on front and rear
Maxximizer beadlocks x25s (offset) with Losi Zombie maxx tires
Fantom Pipe (w/side exhause header
OnlyBatteryPacks.com 6v pack
Forward only conversion

Last time I drove my truck, my friend hit me with my own Savage really hard in the tire/rim. The beadlocks are tough, becuase my top a-arm snapped.
It only broke because he was doing proabably 30mph and I was stopped.
hahaha

So right now, I have RPM a-arms in the front and stockers in the rear.

I might leave it that way for a while, I don't know, I haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet.

If you were to get the MGT, I would wait for the new one (with the bigger motor), or if you get a really good deal on one with the TT.21, I would run it stock until you can upgrade the springs and tires/wheels at the same time. After that, I would upgrade to the FOC. You will not believe how much weight and performance that this adds to the truck!!!

I forgot to add... I also put in a JR rs310 Rx in the truck to use with my JR xs3 pro

Yes, if you get one consider trading out the stock radio, it is adequate but not great.
