Hi All,

I have two questions for the community:

1. I recently received a Gens.Ace hard case LiPo that has clear shrink film around the case. Should this be removed? My other Gens.Ace batteries (similar model but with T connector vs EC5) did not come with the shrink film. The labels are under the film.

2. The wires coming out of these new LiPo batteries are 12gauge into a Deans T connector. I'd like to run a Deans T connector to EC5 connector cable, but most all the connectors have 14 gauge wires. Any issue going from 12 to 14 gauge wire?

Thanks!

1 I'm assuming its added protection. I would leave the film on.

2 I'm no wire expert. If it was me, Id solder the connector myself. If you csnt solder, I would have a hobby shop solder a new plug. Looks better, the power should flow better, and imo less likely of a mishap.

eave clear film on.
never a good idea to run more than 1 battery connector. cut old deans off 1 wire at a time add new shrink wrap solder on new ec5 go play after charge
