I did a mildly stupid, but funny, thing just now.
I was putting the flywheel on my new k4.6 (for my new Savage X). Well, I always put a few drops of after-run oil in new engines and crank them over a few times by turning over the flywheel. Well, I could see perfectly into that huge exhaust port, but I wanted a little light. So, I grabbed my glow ignitor and lit it up! Let there be light! I could see every port, the nice shine of metal on the cylinder walls, but the piston was down. So, what did I do? I turned the flywheel over 1 half turn. Well, folks, we got ignition (glow plug), compression (new engine), and all it needed was fuel. After-run oil will do, thanks to the few drops I had put into it earlier! Bang! and a face full of half burnt after-run oil. My glasses have little specks all over them.
Let that be a lesson to ya!
