Anyone here doing this? You can buy these things and join the national online time thingy. The Dnano are pretty expensive for what you get though.

Guess not. Thing that is interesting about this is that they track your records and speeds nation wide at the tracks. pretty kewl though they are expensive.

They are pretty cool. My lhs is getting a track for them. I also found out they use a remote designed by KO ProPo.

Though most of us are strapped for money, well at least I am, I think this is probably blow up real big. It's just that the price is pretty dang high just for the car. I can understand the remote sense it's a 2.4ghz but I was at the LHS here and the cars were going from $130 to $160.

The remote you need to buy feels like a POS toy in your hand. I had one that went with one of my 2.4 mini-z racers. I quickly sold it when the module came out which I use in my 3PKS.

The dnano is very expensive and IMO should not be priced over $100 for just the car. Keep in mind that you still need to buy their battery and charger. So even if I plunked down $160+ for one of these, I still need to shell out $40 for the charger and another $25 for a battery. Of course I would need more than one battery to race. Now I'm loooking at $250+ for one and I don't need a controller! This is why I don't and will not own one.

It is cool as hell to drive though. Especially on the dnano specific track.

I will be sticking to racing my mini-z's. I just don't see the dnano taking off due to the price of admission.
