Just ordered my Savage X SS

Hi there, I finally ordered a ss kit so I have something to build... Just wondering what hop ups and upgrades are a must have for the savage as well as what the weak links are so I can get plenty of spares. New to the hpi line but I have heard good things about their performance and reliability so I am excited to be adding this to my collection and seeing how it stacks up...

Not much is needed for the Savage as far as hop ups go.

I use the plastic upper arms because the metal ones all snapped. Be sure to shim the diffs. I like to use a skid plate. I think that is all it "needs"

Well after a year or so of serving as a parts truck for my XL. I have finally gotten tired of looking at what was left of my Savage X, which wasn't much, I broke down and ordered everything I need to bring it back from the dead! The 4.6 is still in good shape with plenty of pinch left in it. It will be nice to have two fuctioning trucks again!
