Ok, I did the FOC on my Tmaxx but I'm wondering if the dude I bought this from has done something else to it. There is no place for the spur gear now. There's no shaft coming from the transmission to attach it to. Also, the gears inside didn't look the same as the picture. WTF??:loser: Could buddy have changed this to a one speed?
 
I'm not sure on this but will say Traxxas web site has a break down on parts you can look at. I also heard of them making mistakes on the older FOC instructions before. As for the spur gear....I'm pretty sure no matter how few or how many gear you got, you pretty much need that gear. Oh one more thing, I went to buy this kit for my Tmaxx ( I bought a busted motor one to fix up) any how my LHS handed me the part to look at and it had mention on the package you needed another part. I never did buy the kit since he wanted like 35.00 for everything lol But you maybe missing something else.

Anyways, outside of the driveshafts, how hard was it to remove the transmission? I'm probaly going to do this with my Tmaxx once I get a motor for it.

Umm... do you have any photo's of it? I've had a t-maxx trannies apart many, many, many times... I'd like to see what may be missing.
 
Kelly, something is not right. I have only done one T-Maxx FOC ever, but it was a simple swap of parts, and I ended with the shaft for the spur gear when I was done.

Oh well, makes for an interesting situation!
