I knew at 1/24 this was going to be small. But I don't think I was thinking it would be smaller than a burrito at the local Mexican joint. I freakin LOVE IT!

I forgot how clean they look when they are new! 😍

Charge that puppy up!
I got all the stuff out to build a charge cable and I don't have a single JST PH 2.0 connector. I thought I had 2 somewhere, and I am sure I do. But I ordered some just in case, on the same day I ordered the truck. Horizon just ships faster than Amazon. Still looking...

@WickedFog The little usb charger it comes with actually works pretty good.
Yeah, I gave it about 10 minutes on the charger and crawled over some debris. I am super impressed with it! I am pretty anal about my batteries, so hopefully tomorrow I can get it all charged and take outside for a rip. This will be the playground. It ain't much, but should be a challenge for the kiddos.

I will say this...
Of all the RC cars I have looked at online and bought, not a one of them makes better use of the phrase "pics just don't do it justice" as this little rig. It looks like they used a shrink ray on a real one. I am so impressed with it I am buying them all. Thanks for the inspiration guys. My favorite crawler so far!

Is it bad, that when I clean the cat boxes, I want to grab a mini crawler? 🤔 🤪🤣
Haha! I knew this was 1:24, but for some reason it showed up smaller than I was expecting. And when you see it, it changes your whole perspective of things to crawl over. The dirt piles next door will look like the Himalayas. I am going to have to grab some timber and whip up some portable obstacles to place around the sides. Can't do anything permanent because those piles may be gone tomorrow. It changes every few months.

Welcome to the club!
Thanks man. I think my first mod is going to be to remove the lame grill decal and 3d print something a bit nicer. That is the only things bugging me about this - the cheesy decals.

Wow, it's so small I can't even see it. :p

Lol, it's not in those pics. That is where it will be going though. I just ran it over some stuff on my bench. I didn't want to charge the battery up very far til I can charge it on my balance charger. The connectors arrive tomorrow.

A few things that make a difference...

https://www.amazon.com/Brass-Extended-Wheel-Upgrades-Crawler/dp/B08PSVP38R

https://store.rc4wd.com/10-Tires_c_599.html

^^Their steel wheels are spendy and somewhat tedious to assemble, but game changers!

Just for the front-

Treal wheels are gorgeous, but don't always hold onto the beadlock.
I haven't found a shock worth mounting yet. I just invert the factory shocks and remove the front springs.

And when you're ready to go full potato, go furitek. Their esc's are life changing.

Not that I've personally put $350 into an scx24 or anything.... 🤥

I haven't really decided on wheels yet, but was leaning towards some Treals. Good to know about the bead issue. I have some 1.55 and 1.9 RC4WD wheels and love them. I freakin love their scale hex bolts!

I threw all of the Treal upgrades in my cart waiting to see what the truck needs, so I will grab the diff cover, spindles, and those extenders first. I am also grabbing the bent links because I have already noticed how it gets hung up on the links. I will be grabbing the Furitec kit in a couple weeks.

Speaking of the Furitek kit, can you share some pics of your install? Or links to where I can see it in your Taco truck? What did you have to mod to get it instaled?

Oh, and just like my 1:16 WPL rigs, aftermarket shocks for it look to be crap. Fortunately these Axial shocks look amazing. The springs seem to be spot on. Curious though, why do you invert them?

And yeah, I am 100% positive I will have at least 2.5x the money in upgrades as the cost of the truck 😜

Thanks for the info!
