Howdy All,

New to the forum...

Son's 10MT died and unable to locate a replacement motor (Reaktor 3500kv), appears all have been discontinued - probably being how this one basically burnt up, is why they are not made anymore.

So question is - Whtas my best alternative replacement motor to get this truck back up and running. Any help at all is very appreciated.

try another brand motor . as long as its 540 size can A nice 4000kv would be nice.seen a few under 35$..nonsensor 2 pole.. you should be fine

This would probably work:

You would just cover up the sensor port and solder on your own motor wires.

Most motors I run across these days are 4-pole. Traxxas had a 3500kv 2-pole for a while but changed over to 4-pole. They charge too much for their stuff anyway.

Also ran across this, but you have to know what to buy:

I'm not that informed as to what "turns" are as I never ran brushed motors which I think many were referred to by "turns" vs "kv".

so how would a sensored motor run with a nonsensored esc stutter city..
theres many 4000kv sensor less motors
.

The Reaktor 3500kv is a sensorless 2 pole motor. At least from what I found, so he'd be no worse off than he is now:

All sensored motors run "unsensored" once they get moving, from what I've read. Castle even dropped the 3800kv sensorless motor they used to have in place of a sensored 3800kv that they pair with a few unsensored esc's. You just don't plug in the sensor cable if your esc doesn't support it. It will still function.

Post up some links to other 2-pole 540's. I couldn't find much, but I didn't look overly hard.
