Imex Jumbo Kongs on robots in Iraq

I came across this while cruising the Imex website and thought it was pretty cool to see some RC stuff used in some real action. Imex shows an article about the military using their tires on some of their robotic spy devices. Pretty sweet.

At my LHS awhile ago, They had a million EMAXX's with huge tires on them and stuff. even wood with velcro on some of them. That was alot of money going out!

Some of those were put together at Debbie's RC World, mine and SkyLineRacer's LHS. They are indeed E-Maxx's with Jumbo Kongs on them.

Thanks Sky, I thought they were. So I guess thats where all those extra e-maxx bodies and stock t-e maxx tires and rims came from.

That would be the place. They also changed the gearing and I believe dropped some better motors in them.

All told, I think they modified over 1000 for the government.

They did not do the military hardware stuff. They basically made the trucks into a skateboard like platform, and the military added their hardware after the fact.
