I'm home, cold and windy and terrible fishing. One tiny Crappie.
I hate sitting in the camper.

We used to throw canned dog food out in the water. The catfish liked that.

 Nooooo!
Need to let them grow into filets!!
Catfish filets are bigger and quite tasty.
We catch the bluegill from our community trout pond.
They are small and need to be removed. Hence, catfish bait.

And chicken livers
We used to fish for Channel cat with chicken liver. That was the only fish that would hit the line. Night crawlers or chunk fish for Flatheads and Blue Cat. In the river here, in a spot called Catfish Alley, if you weren't using some really heavy duty gear, you weren't pulling anything in. We had many times when we were getting pulled upstream by something big. Never managed to bring one of those off the bottom though, but there are easily 150lb catfish in that location.
