I got super energetic this morning and completely cleaned my shop/hobby room.

At work we have to destroy all hard drives when theyve reached end of life. We have to deguass them, and then we have a machine that crushes them. Unfortuntely, the hard drives wont fit in to the machines if they have so much as a mounting screw left in them, so we can't just smash them with a hammer but we do just pry the plastic shells off of them with screw drivers. Plus, once we remove the hard drives, we have to seperate the metal trash, plastic trash, and circuit boards for recycling purposes.

Most of them although some of them are SSDs. The SSDs we have a different machine that grinds the internal PCBs into dust.

Yeah, they destroy all drives (m.2 drives too) once they are done with them so foreign adversaries can't get their hands on them.
