Yesterday I blew the caps off of the 4 rear shocks. I figure it's time for an upgrade. So I ordered some aluminum big bore shocks. Since the threads on the shocks still are ok I decided to put them back together again so I can run for the next few days(while I wait for my new ones). Heres the stupid part, I don't have any silicone oil availabe, so instead I used 10-30 engine oil. Has anyone else tried something similar, and is this an acceptable substitue?:ponder:

don't quote me on this but it seems alright.10-w30 may be too light. to thin. don't know for sure though.

I think it is to thin also, the shocks are very soft. But if they get me through tommorrow than I will be stoked.=devil

For a temporary solution, it will work, but the seals will eventually fail. Fine for just running around for awhile, but don't be doing any big air bashing.

All I want is to run around tommorrow and chase small animals......... Just kidding.
No big air for me than.

Alright then. its settled. Rolex is saving his polished up blinged out savage for running over the chipmunks. it all makes sense now.

No, no, no. All the little Chipmunks will be safe and happy in a cozy house trailer being towed by the savage, while we go chase cats.

OHHHHHH I get it. So yeah we have a million stray cats around here how bout u bring up them chipmunks and trailer and chase some cats?

My neighbor's cat use to chase my truck, but after it shifted the chase was done, and then I took my turn chasing haha. I can't fit under cars, so I just sat outside the car lol. Chipmunks aren't any fun to chase, plus the ones around here I like.

Chipmunks are my friends. I used to have a family of 4 in my back yard that would come to a whistle and sit on my lap and eat bread.

The big guy was Micro Chip, his wife was Chocolate Chip, and the twins were Mint Chip and Mocha Chip.

Flander you beat me to it , AAAALLLLVVIIINNNN!!!!! Simon, Theodore just had to do it Sorry....and yes the motor oil should work for now but like others have said its only a temp fix....
